Quicker acceleration, Drive it off into the corner farther, get back into the throttle sooner and due to the fact the torque converter is removed there is no torque multiplication so it will not spin the tires as easy.
And A lighter pocket.........HA!

did this once when I fragged my glide put in turbo 350 with a stock convertor 2 seconds a lap slower on a 3/8 high bank needless to say glide got fixed quick,
