Just make sure to read the rules most have measurments that your cage has to meet.

The farther the cage is back the farther the seat will be from the pedals. Because most tracks will not let you move the pedals you will need to move the seat forward unless your legs are long enough to reach the pedals. If you move the seat forward the mount needs to be stronger because the leverage advantage your weight will gain on the seat mount. I have seen several seat mounts bent or broken from a seat like this. There was one car we repaired and sold for the owner because he could no longer race due to the 4 vertabrae fused in his back and neck from the seat mount comimg lose, It was a 1 inch 064 wall tube bent in a U and welded to the cage bar, but the bar was almost 2 feet behind the seat.

If you can move the pedals I would set in the back seat if they would let you get away with it to get more rear % on the chassis.
Don't forget to get the rules for ALL of the tracks you want to run at so the car fits in the rules.
