Hello this is a great forum!

Iím new to racing and I am building a new Street stock as we speak. Well I just found out last week our local track here in Albuq, NM has closed its doors. There is a nice track about 45 mins away but are going to run IMCA Rules this year.

What are some of the rules as to gutting the car and engine specs? I have already gutted the rear kickers and around the window opening and removed the trunk floor in an 85 Monte. I have also skinned the trunk, hood, and doors. My engine is a 406 with vortecs Super Victor intake and Race Demon 750 headers Aluminum radiator

Or maybe someone might have the rules? I have found the hobby stock rules but not the Street stock rules. Any help would be great thanks!!!

imca calls them stock cars not street stocks
you are going to have to put your trunk floor back in along with the guts on the trunk itself imca does not alow any cutting of floor boards besides the holes to mount cage nor do they alow you to gut the trunk the hood is ok to gut tho . you will have to get a holley 350 2 brl carb you also have to have a stock cast intake or a new spec weiland intake not sure exactly what the # is on it but i'm sure some other on here will. engine wise pretty much no roller anything other then that cast heads and you can put what ever you feal confortable in it knowing the fact that you can get it claimed for like $300

you will have to weld in the part by the back window but below the opera window to the floor you can cut out i believe you can run rollor tip rockers only

The intake number your lookin for 7547-1. It needs the dash one. You can also run factory style tubular upper aframes (the ones that are four bolt ball joints, not screw in joints)
