In the toolbox under the sbc head identification casting numbers, 3917291 is listed as "turbo heads". Actually they are double hump heads. The casting number for the turbo heads is 3917292.

Here is what mortec has them as:

3917291....67-68...302/327/350..Camel hump,no accessory holes,64cc chamber
3917292....68......327/350......Camel hump,64cc chamber

It looks like they are both camel humps according to this off of mortec.....

I am really glad you pointed that out....we sure don't want to mislead anyone...We will get this fixed asap!

jammin the turbo heads were the fore runner of the bowties and were over the counter only never installed on a production vehicle I think there may be more than one head with a 292 last three the turbo heads are i.d. easy by the fact there are no exhaust crossovers cast in the head. hope this helps great heads if not cracked. they were used for cup and prostock in the 70s

The point is/was is that 291's ARE NOT "turbo heads". The 292's are well know as "turbo heads". Thanks for fixing the "misleading info". The true camel hump heads are 291, 461, 461x and 462. The "small camel humps" are 186, 492. Here's a better link than mortec http://www.chevytalk.com/tech/engine/SBC_Heads.html Or try this one http://www.angelfire.com/tx5/randysresume/Headguide.html
