you could use zip ties to hold the spring to the rear end housing or hose clamps work too as for your adjuster it probably got moved over and is hitting your shock not letting it compress might wantr to pull the front und apart and position it where you want ot and tack weld it to the frame

There is an easy way to jack it up by the frame. get a piece of chain and weld it to the frame just behind the upper spring mount. then weld a bolt to the side of the lower trailing arm mount so that the chain is off of the shock. jack the car up by the frame untill the spring is just loose in the mounts(about 1/4 inch of play up and down) and put the welded bolt in the closest hole in the chain. that way the rearend cant drop enough to let the spring fall out but it is not holding the suspension up in the corner.
