I have a set that have 30 nites on them and look as good as new. They are alot better than Speedways gears. I went through two sets of those the year before, besides that you can get the motives for for less than $120 at Quick Performance.

it all depends on how the gears are set-up. richmond makes the best gears. the offshore gears are softer but they're adequate if they're set-up correctly. i've built a lot of 3rd members and looked at a lot of them set-up by others. most people set them up too tight and the heat wears them out quickly.
