recently bought a race ready car but ?? the mounting set up. It has solids on sides and
an engine plate bolted to a cross bar at the bellhousing. It also has a rubber trans
mount at the rear of trans on trans support bar. What good does that do with an engine plate solid bolted in front of it.

the rubber mount acts as a kind of shock absorber alot of guys that run midplates don't run a crossmenber at all but i like the idea of having soming for it to rest on but not being bolted directly to the chassis. then you have problems with not enough give and you break ears on 3 speeds or housings on auto trans when everything is bolted up tight
