Hi and Happy New Year
I am looking for some info on the alxe length used in the ford 9 inch rear end.
I have one tha mesures 58 inches flange to flange. And would like to know what cars or trucks this rear come in. The axles I have right know are 29 1/2 inches and 31 7/8 inches long and are 28 spline. Any info would be apperiated Thanks...

The list I have shows that width to come in 66'to77' Bronco, 77'to81' Granada, 64' Falcon, If the axles are of unequal length they are from a car, most truck rear's have the pinion off-center so the axles are the same length. This info may not be iron-clad, It's something I got off the net.. The bolt circle will clue you to what it came in because most Ford cars are 4 1/2 BC, and most trucks are 5 1/2 BC but this is not always true, some trucks and cars are 5" BC.. Hope this helps..
