Author Topic:   Do ya think this would work

I currently race an LTD/Torino and I have been playing with the idea of building a early 80's thunderbird (the short ones) but I have heard problems with the fox body cars pushing real bad in the corners. So I was wondering if I took the front stub of a LTD or Torino and replaced the Thunderbirds with it if that would cure the problem. It would have to be narrowed of course but do ya think it would work? Hey never said it is a good idea but its an idea none the less.

we run a 80 tbird and we have not had any problems with the handling.I kind of like the fox body because of the abundance of parts you can find for the handling.Don't know about changing the front though.

get yourself a 80's crown vic and cut the frame down to 108 and put a newer style bird body on it thats what all the fords around here are then you have a full frame and plenty of spares in the bone yard still
