What is the difference between and gas charged bilstien and a Gas charged Napa shock at 1/4 the cost???? This confusses me, if there both street shocks then what makes it any better than any other shock. Also why is it when I go onto the bilstien website and punch in the car I need the numbers are not the same as the ones u can buy at any race shop?
Also with IMCA the shocks u can run, the car must have come off the show room floor with them. Does anybody know what other brands of shocks were on a metric car when it was built?
Thanks in advance Ed

bilsteins are well worth the money they do not fade like a parts store shock will they are designed to be on performance cars like the montee ss thats why you can run them in imca hobby that and the fact that they sponsor imca .they are the same shock in the parts store and the racing store not exactly sure why the part # is different tho. but like i said they are the best option for a stock mount shock imca or not the littel more you pay for them you get back at the end of the nite at the pay shack.

THE REASON BILSTEIN ARE MORE EXPENSIVE IS BECAUSE OF THE QUALITY OF THE SHOCK. ALL BILSTEIN DOES IS MAKE SHOCKS THAT IS THEIR SPECIALTY. NAPA DOESNT EVEN MAKE THEIR SHOCKS THEY ARE MADE BY ANOTHER MANUFACTURED BY SOMEONE ELSE. ALSO AS FAR AS THE RULES GO IM NOT FAMILIAR WITH IMCA RULES BUT OUR RULES SAY STOCK MOUNT SHOCK. ALOT OF GUYS RUN BILSTEIN OFF OF LATE MODEL S-10 BECAUSE THE METRIC CARS AND S-10 HAVE THE SAME MOUNTING POSITION. THEREFORE IT WOULD BE A STOCK SHOCK. HOPE THIS HELPS ANSWER YOUR QUESTIONS
