Whatever you use dont make it to solid, you want the bumper to give not the frame.I made that mistake on my first car.I would recomend capping off the frame horns b/c if not they split real easy.

my bro works at the parts store here in town and he said terminator has been ordering front bumpers off 93 chrysler concords to put behind the plastic noses i guess they are basicly a tube bumper but it's stock so nothing they can do about it. i'll double check with him this weekend to make sure the year is right and maybe get a price and part #

i'm with allzway. ford fairmont bumpers are made out of extruded aluminum and they're as tough and as light as they come.......another one of ford's "better ideas". did i mention i was a ford guy?

i think all fairmonts use the same bumper. check your local salvages. they're easy to spot. they're extruded aluminum, they come to a point in the center and the ends are curved back. they also have a bolted in steel plate that makes them easy to weld up a mount to fit about anything.

good luck.
