I need to find a camaro/firebird front clip from the auto wrecker. What years should I be looking for? 73-81? Are they all the same? Also where should I look for potential rust problems?

Also for the impala spindles, what years should i be looking for?

a nova clip will fit but it's not the same the camaro front is better thats why you see guys that can't run camaros putting the clips from them on novas to get the better geometry

Thanks guys for the info. What about rust areas to look for on the clip?

I called the local wrecker and he has 4 or 5 camaros there, I can have one for free! (sponsor)

We are building a camaro front clip chassis (with a dodge engine of course) and a three link rear as per our new "sportsman rules", Have ordered bob bolles software for suspension geometry and plan to build the car up using that. If all goes as planned, I will draw up the whole chassis in 3D in autocad before we lay the first weld. Hopefully we can optimize strength and weight of the car. It will be done for the 2005 season.

79- up camaros have a larger outer wheel brg.

look for one of those for your spindles and hubs.

if you can run tubular adj upper a arms you wont need any computer program for front susp.

lefthander sell a arms and a template for their mounting, and they are dead on. I used it then input it all in my front end pro geometry program, and with stock centerlink, and a heim outer tie rod end it was close to perfect...
