What size tires(roll out and width) would be best if their is know rule and limited money. I'm running a 3200 lb metric on a 1/4 mile track. want to run a American racer or something alike. About a 87 in roll on right rear. What sizes would be best for the rest of car.I will be resetting ride hights and gear ratio.

am racer g 60's are about 83. most metric cars don't like alot of stagger so i would shy away from something that tall 3 inches is the max we go on our metric cars. i would go with those g 60's all the way around with a 6.50 gear should put you in the 65-6800 range

So bigger isnt better.LOL Is a lower profile tire better than a larger foot print of the tire

in my opinion you want bolth i would rather run a wide low profile tire you get less side wall flex out of a lower profile tire which gives you less heat build up and more tire on the track at all times. next year i'm going to switch from ym 205/70/14's on the rear to a 205/60 15 same roll out but less sidewall to flex

So you run same size on all four corners. You dont run bigger on right side or just right rear or smaller left front. Is this because of rules or that works best for you. I've only got about a seasons worth of racing out of the last 2 years and I get so many different claimes from guys at are track. Its a new track with new racers and we're all trying to figure it out. I havent got to race enough races consecitivly to know what works. I'm hoping to change that next year and make all the races. Just need some expert opinion as where to start. Then I can try out different combos.

Eaton I ould have to agree with Racer there on the tires sidewall flex. i used to run 235/75/15(18 psi) on the right rear, 225/70/15(14 psi) on left rear. had nothing but problems with the right rear. left was ok, and it handled pretty good. kept loosin the right rear, either come off the beed, or got to HOTT and shreaded up. i even tried tubes, still had the problems. just recently switched to 245/60/15 on both sides, no stagger yet.... but what u know, no tires problems at all. actually finished a race with all the tires on the car

i run 205/70/14 on the left side 205/75/15rf and 205/75/14 rr
gives me 4 inches of stagger in the front and 2 in the rear i can't run weight jacks and aren't suposed to run shims anywhere so i use the stagger to get my cross weight

Ha what size rim do you need for the G60-15b American racer and also the p295 50 15. Does it need a 10" rim or can you use a 8". If its like a dot radial it probably is beeter off with a 10". What do you think.

8 is perfect for the g60. On a 1/4 mile i would go lower than a 6.50. I run a 6.88 and turn about 6300-6500 with g60's. 6.50 drops me to about 5500-5800. hope this helps
