we are running a 302 HP we are taking the heads and getting 3 angle valve job + putting 1.94 chevy intake valaves for around 400$ verses a new set of 351c heads for 900$ we are looking for around 40-50 hp. give me some feed back thank!!!

it depends on the head. if the bigger valves are shrouded by the combustion chamber, they could hurt performance. a little bowl area porting is in order to blend in the tooling marks after they're opened up.

If your looking in that $900 area check out pro action sbf heads they look pretty good right out of the box.They have alot of selection as far as camber size valve and runner size.I think they are about $300 ea. bare.

with chevy 1.94 valves does anyone think we would have to enlarge the valve release in the stock pistons with a stock cam. thanks....

yes, you may have to fly cut the pistons unless you're using the federal mogul hypereutectics. they have HUGE notches already. i believe the part number is h273cp.
you still should clay check it. the lift and duration of the cam play into the equation.
