we get ours from a junk yard and have a jig to put the mounts on it and you need a 58 in. look around for guys with old ford pickup box trailers we do that all the time we take it and give them a metric rear end and put it under it for um and usually give um some cash

An 8.8 will have a differential cover,A 9" has a bolt in carrier in the back of the housing.The 8" is made the same way but is a little smaller.

The 9" carrier kind of raps around or covers the bottom 2 bolts on the housing, 8" is a little smaller but the bolts are totaly uncovered all the way around the housing where the carrier housing bolts too it.

Try looking on quickperformance.com.There was some exellent info w/pictures about identifying different 9" Ford rearends.

hey i got one that was done by quick performance it has the lower mounts on it but needs the top ones replace it has moser custom alloy race axles and all the brakes it is 4 3/4 bolt pattern it only need top mounts and 1 axle bearing i am located in mason city ia and would sell it all for 450.00 obo
