I have Afco, Carrera, Pro and some are welded brg, some are the better ones with bolt on heims. They all seem to work just fine for me, I have never had a problem with any of them in the last 4 years.

I usually shop around and get them used, Thats how I can afford to have almost every ratio available. I have gotten them for as little as 10 bucks and paid as much as 25, no more unless its new.

I moved to Iowa from the NW, and thought bilsteins were for import cars before moving here. I think its a simple case of monkey see, monkey do, just like wire ties in wheels??

bilistein all the way. i run street stocks and have tried many different brands and have found that these work on any track condition. 9 feature win at one track and most came from middle of the pack and back on tacky, wet and dry slick conditions. hope this helps. s.s c17 bellmead speedway

i like bilstiens as well. i had to many time where i came in after the car handles like crap only to find a shock was shot. i mostly ran pros and afcos. i havent had a problem with bilsteins in 3 years. they cost more but have saved me more in the long run. i also like that you can have them build you and ratio you want.

66 you'll see alot of that around here like last year when nichols won nat points everybody had to have a thunder chassis but he's about the only one that has done anything with them. but anyway i have ran pro's and bilsteins stock mounts and won't run anything else after a year on the bilsteins. i look at it this way when a guy that wins more races in a year then i have been in in my life i tend to listen to what he suggests. and thats what bob harris, kelly shryock and mark elliot put on all there cars so my ears are open. if it's the stock mounts you're looking for i think day motorsports carries some options in the stock mount bilsteins with different vavleing that they designed for the sims limited mods

I like Carrera's and Bilstein's. If you have the money, buy the Bilstein's but if you are on some sort of a budget, get the Carrera's. We are running them now and I like them much nicer than the Pro's we ran last year.

RACER17J,
IVE GOT A THUNDER CHASSIS, WHICH I BOUGHT BEFORE MIKE WON HIS CHAMPIONSHIP.
IM FINALLY GETTING IT FIGURED OUT. IT HANDLES GREAT NOW. IM 3RD IN POINTS (4 PTS OUT OF 2ND W/ 3 WEEKS LEFT) AT MY TRACK AND I ONLY RUN ONE NIGHT A WEEK. I HAVE 6 HEAT RACE WINS AND 2 FEATURE WINS AND 10 TOP 4'S. MOST IN THE LAST 4-5 WEEKS. AS FOR THE QUESTION, IVE RAN PRO'S, AFCO'S, BUT BILSTINS ARE BY FAR THE BEST...LOVE THEM...YOU CAN REBUILD THEM AND THERE PRETTY DURABLE....JUST MY OPINION...
