I will be mounting my radiator soon and i would like to know whats a good distance between the fan and the radiator for maximum cooling?My last car had factory radiator support,I removed it on this car.Any help will be appreciated.

you need to get it as close as possible but take in to consideration that the fan will flex and the ease of installing the hoses. also the width of the radiator comes into play. i have mine in stock position for a 77 monte with a spacer and a good shroud and it stays around 200-210 and its been in the 100s here.

there is no magic formula if it cooled alright before put it in the same spot then you can use the same shroud and hoses. mine is in the same spot that a stock one sits and mine runs 210 with a 2 in spacer and a stock shroud on my metric car

1 inch, no shroud, 4 blade fan. Have a plastic nose with no holes cut in it, but do have an air dam in front of radiator. 210 on real heavy track.

No matter where you mount it make sure the shroud fits the whole radiator and the fan is about half in half out been runnin 190/195 when the air temp is hot.
