Does anyone know of a good book or two for starting up with a hobby stock or just 1/4 and 3/8 circle track in general? Im 19 with no race experience of any kind (I can rip some mean donuts if that counts for anything :) ) but would like to start racing the next summer. Thanks

there is one book that is really good.
Street Stock Chassis Technology.
I got mine online for 13.95 at www.speedwaymotors.com.
I was just like you last year and after I read the book was able to help my friend really get the car handling better with info from the book.
My friend has put me in the drivers seat for the last races of the season.

Thanks for the advice. I going to try to do a little reading just to get an idea of what everything is too.

I have spent over 3,000 dollers on my IMCA Hobby Stock and its still not ready for the track. If you cant afford to pay for the pit pass you should consider a different sport.
