We run a small block 355 with Aluminum open intake but we must run a 2 barrel carb and spacer is 2 holed. My ? is run it on the front side or the back?
Track is 3/8 mile

If the intake is an open plenum, then center the carb over the center of the area of the plenum. Sliding the carb to a different position in an application like that would only be necessary if the intake runners were showing a larger difference in EGT, which would mean some runners are running rich and some are too lean. Moving the carb closer to the lean cyl's would help balance the incoming charge better and balance out the EGT readings.

Hope that helps.
