Small block Chevy, have ran this engine all last year, and up until two weeks ago, no problems.

Two weeks ago, the right side rear freeze plug came out in the feature. I re did the engine, new bearings and had the heads rebuilt. Last weekend, same scenario. The rear freeze plug keeps popping out of the block. The block is not cracked, and i cant find any reason that this keeps happening.

Any ideas?

yes i have ran into this problem many times the freeze plugs holes over the years on some motor actually get worn out and that size plug is just to loose the thing to do is put some teflon sealant around it then ping it in making sure that you ping it in many different places this will help you out

Try the rubber expanding type replacement freeze plug.

I've used the rubber ones also many times with no problems, iowa dirt track girl was right--usually the hole just wallows out alittle over time.
