I'm looking to put a Powerglide with a 1.82 1st gear in my car. Can someone tell me what all is involved in putting one in place of a Turbo 350. Also does anyone have one they would sale?

And you'll need a new torque convertor

Actually there is only an 1/8" difference in length unless you have a 9" tailshaft TH-350. So You can use the same driveshaft without any change.

TCI convertor PN 741020 kicks a$$ too!!! I run one on a 1/2-5/8 dirt track with 5.14 gears and it'll absolutely bury the sticks cars on restarts. If you're in the front, just bog them down in turn 3, kick it in low down to about 2500rpm, nail it and wave goodbye. If you have HP clutchs and a good valvebody, the 'glide will shift so much faster than a stick it's ridiculous.

I'm prolly 50-75hp down on the best cars (rookie year and built a 'baby' motor so I can concentrate on driving) and I've pulled 4 car lengths on them on restarts.
