I think you'll be better off finding a used floater with leaf spring pads. I'm not sure on what years had the 60 inch housings in them. Lots of times you can find used floaters for a pretty good price.

67 to 72 ford 1/2 ton pickups work real good but I cant remember what width they are but I do know you can roll one under a camaro and bolt them up....set your pinion angle then weld up your leaf spring pads Ive used them several times.....Towman

the ford trucks are centered so both axles are the same, they are 61 wide.

your driveline will be at a angle but ok.

a stock camaro is 61.5.

the ford axles need to be ground down around the outside to fit inside rotor hats if your using disc brakes.

I got my rearend out of a 73 ford, the pumpkin is setoff to the right alittle. But the axels are the same length, and its a 31 spline, and I believe it was 60".

I got 9 inch out of a 78-79 bronco..its 60inch with both axles are 30 inchs..
