Im in the process of building a new street stock and im getting ready plumb my brake system.Im going with disc all the way around and plan on using my stock booster and master cyl.My question is can i do away with(im not sure of the correct name, it looks like some type of valve body bolted to the frame)all together and go strait from the master cyl to the calipers? This could be a stupid question but im not a brake expert.

I believe the valve in question would be your proportioning valve. I left mine in.

you need to take it out in order to bleed your brakes properly.

also youll need to add in a adjustable proportioning valve for front to rear adj.

you should pull the booster also, its easy just bolt the master back up and modify the rod.

the booster works of vacuumn, and isnt going to be a consistent feeling brake system for racing.

Thanks so i can do away with the stock porpotioning valve.I had a car with no booster and did not like the way it felt, but what your saying makes sense so its something i need to think about.
