Hi ya'll, incase you read this post on the pure stock page, this is the same question so ya don't double answer. Just wondering what all cage kits ya'll like for you metrics, montes in particular. Some guys had told me on here before they have had good luck with both CSC and RedLine kits. I'm looking for something without front hoops cause we're not allowed them at our track here. Just a simple 6 point cage, reinforced drivers door. Looking for quality on a budget! lol, that's a lot to ask ain't it. But, just curious what ya'll like. thanks much. Scott

Got my 4 post from SCS fabricating in ankeny, Ia(they sell the same kit in the JR Motorsports catalog there is a picture of it in there) for $250. Then just run some straight tubing for your rear kickers.

Yep, Speedway is what I run. They're pretty cheap too.

If you've got a little more money and feel really creative get a kit from Flexi-flyer.

dont just buy your cage because of price, you have to factor in your safety to. 50.00 or 100.00 dollars more for a stonger cage is worth it.

like i said in the post on the bomber side i've seen a jr cage take a nasty roll went over 4-5 times and it was able to be cut out of the car and used again. unlike a csc cage heck they had a pic of one that had colapsed on there web site how stupid is that

I was going to buy a SCP kit but they were gonna charge me another $100.00 for shipping it out to me because of my location. Speedway didnt. Ive seen the kits that 17j is talking about but they didnt meet the rules. Speedways kit has 4 doorbars on either side which meet our rules. My suggestion is to buy a kit that meets your rules or buy the cheaper ones and add the rest yourself. Eddie

i'm just not a big fan of using gussets to mount my halo on, and i don't like the way they have the main hoop braced would need to be modified to help with a shot taken to the door bars on the passengers side or that sucker would fold up like a lawn chair on the main hoop. as for another door bar spend 3 bucks on a peice of tubing and run it diagonal or right under or on top or the bottom door bar and then you have 4 thats what we had to do on our old cars when they said we needed 3 1 3/4 bars and we had 1 1/2 on the pass side out to the door we just added one diagonally and we then had the 3 required just like on a mod
