Metric Car on 1/3 mile banked track
Caster LF +2.75 RF +3.5
Camber LF +1 RF -3
Toe out 3/32
Spring LF 1000 RF 1200
LR 200 RR 225
Frame Hgt LF 3 1/4" RF 3 1/2" (Measured at rubber bumper hole)
Frame Hgt LR 5" RR 4 7/8" (Measured from top of axle tube to frame)
Stagger LF 85 RF 86.5 LR 85.5 RR 86.5
Total Weight W/Driver 3366 (3200 req.)
LF 934 RF 747 LR 840 RR 846
6.33 rear W/full spool
Tire psi 15 all the way around
I have 60# of ballast in back bumper
and 80# in RR corner of trunk over frame rail

I'm looking for some help with this setup the problem is we are a rookie team, Me the mechanic and dad and my son the driver 19 years old he has his hands full just learning to drive and its hard to get much useful info out of him on what the car is doing and how to make it better the problem seems to be that the car is loose in the corners he seems to always come out of the corners sliding at quite an angle to the straightaway then the car spins quite a bit down the straight. I can't make the front any lighter HELP!

Try the 80# in left rear add 2# in RF lower 2# in left side no rear stagger might help measure ride heights on straight part of frame and mark them with an arrow then you can check it at the same place every time hope this helps what are your percentages was this with driver?

if that doesn't tighten it up enough swap the rear springs, and if that still isn't enough try different wheel offsets to bring the LR out and/or the RR in.

caster 1.5 left 3 right

soften rr to 175 or so.

adjust throttle pedal to bottom hole on chassis end. so that the throttle response is slower.

whats your pinion angle??

what kind of rear steer do you have?? rr lead in??
