Has anybody ever blown the ceramic out of your spark plugs? Done the twice now. A Champion and a AC Delco, 5 and 6 cylinders.
Is this just because of a cheap plug? To much compression 12.5:1? Preignition? Nothing is hitting the plugs. AnyBody?????

Pre ignition is the number one cause. This could be from too much ignition timing, too hot of spark plug, wrong plug for heads and possibly too lean on fuel.If it's on 5&7 you could have cross induction in the plug wires. They need to be seperated from the cap all the way to the plugs.

The AC Delco plug was a RS45**, I think that was too hot, Don't remember what the champion plug #, but I think that was too hot also, Put an Autolite 74 in. That's a little cooler. Going to check the timing, was running 36 deg. total timing. Leaned it out laSst week, was burning nice and tan. then richened it back up after the plug blew.
