Im building a new street stock,79 malibu.A front runner at the track that i now will be racing at recomended this combo.lf 12"900lb,rf91/2"1200,225lr and 200rr.The thing that has me alittle worried is the 12'on the lf.both rear springs are 11".Will the engine weight level the car out,i dont want my front end in the air.im also running a ***** jack on the right front.Any feedback will be appreciated. This looks like a great place to find info.I race in south louisiana

Thanks, but i wasent planning on setting my ride height before the car is completely finished. What i am wondering about is the 1 inch taller spring on the front? Is this common.Ive done all my bushing changing and put my rearend in the car and would like to get the front spring height right the first time ,maybe this is not possible.

You dont want a 12 inch spring in the front of a metric. an 11 inch fits fine with no shims.

who makes a 11 x 5 1/2" front spring? I have 12" front 11" rear springs(on a metric with a 9")and it does make the front ride a little higher than the rear. The lower A-frames on the front are just about level, if I had it to do over I'd run 12" on the rear or 11s on the front. Only thing is I've never seen the 11" front springs listed anywhere, if somebody knows where I can get them I'd like to know for next time.
