does anyone have any info on how to get more vaccum out of a engine. i have heard of bleed off lifters. are these lifters rhoads or lifters out of a different make of engine. any ideas shared will be appreciated thanks.

The rhoades style are really quick to bleed down and are said to be hard on the valvetrain, the crane style are a little easier on the valvetrain but don't bleed down as much, the alternative is to use a vacuum cam, also try hooking up the vacuum advance, this may help get some more vacuum at the rpm they check at.

a guy told me that a 12 volt aquarium pump will pull 18 inches.....do you think that is cheating? "it depends on what the meaning of the word "IS" is", lol. it is still pulling vacuum, right?
