right now I am runnin a small 3/8 mile track and I wanna try runnin this 4/10 mile track thats not to far away.. what final drive should I try to get???? to run that track...

I would say anywhere from a 5.29 to a 5.67 depending on your motor.

there isn't much difference in 3/8 and 4/10 i would just run what you have and maybe a inch or two taller tire on the rear basicly if you didn't change anything you would probably only turn about 2-300 more rpm on the 4/10

well you see I was told my track is a 3/8 mile and well I am runnin a 7.176 ratio and well I guess I got to gear up or down how ever you wanna word that

but like racer17j stated there isnt much difference between the two. Run what you got then after you run there you will know for sure if you need more gear or not.
We run a ford 9 inch with 6.50 gears but our tires are 90 inch roll out on 3/8th medium bank track.

how big a tire and what rpm you turning with that much gear on a 3/8 around here most guys will run 6.20-6.33 on 4/10 and 6.33 on a 3/8 turn around 6700 with 83 in roll

I am runnin 91 (255/70r15) on the rr and 88(235/70r15) on the lr and turn anywhere from 6200-6500 dependin on the track
