My track is letting us run the asphalt take offs now, but I don't know too much about them. I do know that a guy running them has won 6 out of 10 features this year so I figured I would give them a try. Also, they cost about $40 dollars less than the tires I've been running, so hopefully I can make them work.
He said that he bought a grooving iron for $60 and he runs them with no tubes. We also have to run 8" wheels and can run a beadlock on the right rear only. Are there different sizes or compounds? If so, what are the best to run? The guy I spoke with didn't elaborate too much when I started asking those questions, go figure...

Hello Ive ran the pull offs for about 7 yrs your probaly gettin a 27 or 28 by 10 all I ve ever ran are hoosiers no tubes and unless your track gets real rough you can run low tire pressure with good wheels Ive run 10psi on the left side with no problems 13 or 14 on the RF and you dont have to worry about the RR You will lurn alot about tire grooving there is an edge to be had in that area let me know what tires your running and I will tell you more...Towman
