Check the vent hole in the cap. When the oil heats it expands, if the vent is pluged it will build pressure til it can lift the cap taking oil with it. Sorta like a wet fart.

we had that problem to on one of our cars just zip tied a rag over the cap to catch the oil never did find anything wrong tho

I've got a rag on it now and it gets soaked. I'll look at the cap vent tonight.

If you drill a small hole in the stem that you check the level on at the top about half an inch down from the bottom of the cap then your problems will be gone.trust me.

Okay, my resevoir is an aluminum can not a stock type. I looked in the thing while the engine was running and it is splashing fluid against the side and up under the cap. I made a little baffle from a soda can and it helped some. I'm going to modify the baffle some more and maybe find a use for all those aluminum cans we recycle..*g*
