How much will a full spring rubber increase a springs rate? I had a 1200# spring in the right front, and I took it out and put in a 925#, just because it was all I had laying around. Will a full rubber get me close to 1000, or 1100? Thanks.

From what I have seen on a spring tester there are some wacky numbers. But It will not show enough change for what you want. I used spring rubbers all of last year, and 2 races this year. We are not going to use them anymore until we do some more testing. The numbers were all over the place. But most of the time they showed a decrease in weight. It also feels like the car will bottom out quicker with them. The main thing you have to realize is the range in which your springs work in. On some of the springs we checked you would have to get like 3" of travel on the spring before the weight came up. By that time you are almost bottomed out on the spring. Maybe someone else has done some testing and can help you a little better than I can.

Thanks for the info kip. I forgot to ask, does it matter where you put the rubber? When I use one, I put it in the middle, should it be at the top or bottom, or is it all the same? Thanks
