ok I finally got my 3 speed out of a nova with a six cylinder. The problem is there was no shifter or any linkages. I got the clutch fork and all that. So what should I look for now, I dont have any manual shift tranny knowlede. Can I build a z bar or is there a way to put slave cylinder on it cause I have to get a clutch pedal to any ideas on this?

The way I have my shifter on my 3 speed is I have two rods coming through the floorboard and attached to the transmission. One is for first and reverse and the other one is for second and third. I run a clutch pedal that lays on the floor and attached to the clutch fork with a chain. It's cheap, easy, works great and if you need more details let me know.

you should be able to find all the linkages and pedals out of a 70's chevy truck we have a couple cars with the shifters like pickel we also have some with the aluminum ones like the mod guys use. one other way to go would be to get a pedal from jr motorsports they have a pedal with a cable on it that hooks to the fork

Call me crazy but i never like any type of hydraulic slave cyl's or throwout bearings i'd stick with the old tried and true z-bar setup or pickle's reliable method.

I'm like racer 17j, I got a linkage off of an early 70,s model truck and ran it. It mount's to the frame and then to a clutch ball on the side of the block then to the clutch fork. Worked good for me.
