If you had to guess what 3 speed whould you think came in a nova with a 6 cylinder. I really hope its a 1.68 but I have not seen it yet to check the lines on the input shaft. Also will the 6 cylinder fly wheel work with my 350? My starter has the bolt holes side by side.

Who knows the way people swap stuff around on what gear ratio youll have but the flywheel wiil work its a little heavy though...Towman

The 3-speed saginaw that i am running right now, originaly came out of a Nova with a 6 cylinder. It dont have any lines on it either. Just like Towman said,the flywheel will work but rather heavy.

probably a 1.76 if not then maybe a 1.68 if you're fortunate it will have a 1.89 but i doubt that.

gould, a saginaw with 3 lines has a 3.50 1st, 1.89 2nd, and 1.00 3rd.

dobber, i only have the info for the saginaw trannies, but i'll try and find some for the muncie and the t-10.

3 speed
no lines --- 2.83, 1.68, 1.00
1 lines --- 2.54, 1.50, 1.00
2 lines --- 3.11, 1.84, 1.00
3 lines --- 3.50, 1.89, 1.00

4 speed
no lines --- 2.84. 2.01, 1.35, 1.00
1 lines --- 2.54, 1.80, 1.44, 1.00
2 lines --- 3.11, 2.20, 1.47, 1.00
3 lines --- 3.50, 2.47, 1.65, 1.00
