ok first iam using the stock pump on a 81 metric car. i dont have any holes in the head so i ordred the bracket that mounts to the two bolt holes on the bottem of the block. when i tried to mount it the pulley hit the steering sector so i put a smaller pulley on and now the pulley sticks out to far.(the first pulley was a double groove and the smaller one is single). any advise would be appreciated. thanks

I asked my local junkyards for a bracket off an older van and they all said they didnt have anymore of that stuff around.

look around they can be found pretty ez if you look go to a place that lets you pull the parts yourself they just didn't want to mess with it i'm willing to bet

I'm running a 81 metric metric also, I changed my water pump to a stock one with the water pump mount, and fabricated a bracket to mount to the front exhaust manifold bolt, works fine.

Look in the parts mart section and buy the one I have for sale! It's cheap in great shape and I'll throw in the old pump (it works fine) for free!

the astro van and big chevy vans had the double grove pulleys pumps that sat bolted to the low part of the block..
