I'm looking for a book that basically shows you how to build a street stock dirt track racer from the ground up. Any suggestions?

Steve Smith has some very nice books, and one that is exactly what you are looking for. I don't remember the exact title, but it is something like How to build a Street Stock.

Steve really knows his stuff, and has many good books on racing. Check out his stuff.

The other book is Street Stock Chassis Technology #S192 by Steve Smith, it's sitting right here in front of me at work.

They do have a web site, I can't remember the address, but check it out they offer specials like a book and video deal.

Try searching under Steve Smith Autosports.

Check ebay! I got the "street stock chassis" video for around $15.00 on there. Plus, a few of the steve smith books cheap. Go on there an type stuff like...imca,racing,stock car, dirt track...you would be surprised about the stuff you could find on there. Forget ordering BRAND NEW...the video i bought runs around $39.00 brand new.
