Hello, I have a Ford 9" housing with gm brackets to but in my metric car, rules say rearend to be centered, both my axles for it are the same length, is this centered?

They probably mean the rearend should be centered on the frame,and not one axle hanging further out than the other from the frame..Jim

The housing has to be centered in the car left to right like the OEM one was.

If the axles are the same length, the pinion is offset from center(aka Truck housing usually) If the axles are two diffrent lenghths the pinion is centered (usually found under cars)

Superdave,

It only makes a diff where the pinion is centered or not, right?

If the housing is off you can offset that with diff rims or wheel spacers to bring the rear back in line with the front.
