How many people are like me that know how to perform the operations of building and maintaining a race car but are working out of their garage at the house. This presents many problems. I know of several people who have the knowledge to work on their own cars but bring it to the local race shop to have it worked on because they don't have a place ot work on it themselves. How about those racers who live in a condo or apartment..all you have is a parking lot. I have an idea of leasing a shop myself and then renting it out to racers on an as-needed basis. Has anybody done this before? How much would you pay by the hour? By the half day? By the full day? Not looking to make alot of money I just want to offset the cost of the shop and help out the fellow racer. By the way I am looking in Kennedale, Tx. Any ideas or comments would be appreciated. Thanks.

21 sounds like you have been at our shop lol i call it our shop because i help out down there and have been for years but my car does not go there any more you ever heard the saying they took everything that wasn't bolted down well at a shop there are tool to take that too i've had them go as far as taking the rear end out of my car when i was waiting on a new motor and not racing . i found it was cheaper to buy my own welder and do all my stuff at home then it was to replace what all had been taken and alot less head ache

That would be a real cool idea if you could have each individual bay sectioned off, like lockers. UTOPIA. Racers are good guys, just as long as you dont get to many in one place at one time. I dont even share a shop with my own brother anymore!
