I might show off my stupidity, but here goes: One of the advantages to running a leaf spring rear suspension is that the leaves will "wrap" under acceleration. Then I see posts telling guys to add a half leaf to the front of the spring pack, to stiffen the wrap. Has anyone ever used a single half leaf on the front, a lift bar (or tork link) on top, and controlled the side movement with a panhard bar? The rear ride height could be controlled with coil-overs.

Tried that exact set-up. It was a rocket down the straight. Wouldn't turn for nothing. The single leaves bent real easy when bumped. You have to run a lh side type of set-up like on an ashpalt car because the spring eyes wont allow much give to let the car roll in the corners.
