Can you guys help me figure out how to set up my front suspension on my 80 camaro?
I have a Steve Smith book, according to the pictures the upper A-arm on my car is just the opposite of what I want. I also have about 3.5 degrees of negative caster. I ordered after market a-arms from speedway, stock mount. I'm just not able to get it set up correctly. It looks like I need a taller spindle, in order to get my angles right. Help me out please.

Did you get the offset after market a-arms? The non offset ones need the a arm mounts to be moved. Let me know. Ben

On the older camaros and chevelles there is room on the upper A-arm mount to drill two new holes about 3/4 of an inch lower to help the roll center and camber curve.

According to Speedway, these fit on right or left. I just specified what length. They are for stock mounts. I have to keep the stock mounts. I will look at redrilling the holes lower. Thanks alot guys.

I think the Camaro upper a frames are not offset so they work on either side. Check your lower bushings if your alignment is that far off. THe lower a frame may be pushed back due to the bad lower bushings.

Late model Impala spindles are a great choice for a Camaro. THey are taller and available with larger brakes.

Good luck,

stock uppers are different left to right.

impala spindles are the same 8.75 tall as a stock camaro.
