converting hobby car to enduro/purestock. i need to remove ***** jacks and put in adjustable spring cups, and stock mount shocks.( on the front of 76 camaro)the problem is the shock mount part of the upper a arm mount has been cut away and a plate with the large nut w/grease fitting welded in. also, the tabs or ears that fold down and hold the upper end of the springs have been trimmed away to alow the jacks to move farther. any help would be greatly apreciated. neil

on mertic cars when we converted them from imca stock to hobby we just took and ground the top mounts off another frame and put them on thats about the easist way to do it

You could take a threaded piece of rod and drill out a hole large enough for the shock rod to go through and thread the shortened rod back into the weight jack spot. You might want to weld a nut on the top side to make removal easier when you get ready to move up a class.
