How about this. Mount two water tanks in the back of the car with two TEEL electric water pumps between them ($30 from grainger). One pumping from left to right, the other right to left. You could adjust your 'bite' percentage with a toggle switch while you were testing (racing) permanent ballast could replace this after the ideal percentage was found!!

very clevor. considering the cost of a couple of pumps .... sounds like a cheap education.

a related trick would be to race with a tank (somewhere near the LR?) and shoot water into the front of the radiator to both cool and adjust the car (some tracks will let this fly under the guise of a cooling solution).

I raced against a guy who ran this, can't imagine you could make a lot of change with getting too much water on the track .... but it sure would solve a cooling problem (I use a set-up like this on my motorhome sometimes).

the lext level just occured to me ....

inflatable airbags to dampen active springs coils in order to tune spring rates (of course, a driver adjustable roll bar might be simpler).

not nearly as simple as the water location manipulation ..... but somethine worth doing simultaneously.

an inexpecive accelerometer ($139) measuring lateral acceleration (or a friend with a stop watch) .... and who knows how good things might get.

now if you could also manipulate camber and tire pressure and ....
