Ok Ya might not like this.but here goes:
If you are twisting your motor past 6500-6800 rpm you will probably need a module upgrade. below that a stock hei will do fine. I ask myself the question--why do the cup cars have "back-up" ign systems if they're so good? I've had both, ran both, and never had trouble with either. My honest opinion is to get a good HEI and go racing.

agreed. i've used an MSD and a factory ford duraspark well over 7000 rpm's and couldn't tell the difference.

I have never ran msd but but seen my share of probs with them..(buddys that swaer by them) I have been race a performance distributors kit for about 8 years now and the only prob I ever had was burnd wires..my cosion ran one in his mod and never had a pro..it only cost about $126..I do keep a stock one jus in case but never had to use it yet ...( knock on wood) lol
