Hello, I race imca hobby stock, what would be better, a 3 speed manual all lightweight stuff,(1st gear removed and 2nd & reverse lightened, 16 pound flywheel) or would it be better to run a powerglide, but cant use valve, must have a torque converter and setup like a automatic. Please tell me what way to go,

depends on wether you can get away with a hollow covertor, sleepy used a custom convertor seemed to work look in the old circle tracks for the details.

with the clutch *** . you mentioned a manual tranny and a scatter shield will weigh 75 lbs over a glide.

Three seasons on a powerglide and never a problem. I won't switch.
