A track close to me is running wings on their street stocks and I think the track is too short for us to notice a difference tacky or dry...I kinda took offense to it and told the promoter that I would bring my ragged ol non wing car and pass them like they were stting on jackstands...Did my alligator mouth override my canary **** ? Anybody run these things before?

Yeah pretty much, just a quarter mile track though seems to me it would upset the chassis too much.

if it's a sprint car wing.......everything else being equal, you will need it. don't angle it down too much or it will create a lot of drag on the straights. the corners are where it will be beneficial. the sideboards will give you something to lean on in the turns besides just the tires. my opinion.........

You guys must run bad azz street stockers if you need sprint wings on a 1/4 mile track! Where I come from streeters don't get airborne!

We are allowed to run an 8" spoiler on the trunk lid..........I dont really think it helps much, but I run one nevertheless. It looks race.....if nothing else. LOL

I used to feel that same way about the rear spoilers-until...Watching a Cup race at Bristol I saw the crew bring in a lead lap car--under green--and repair the rear spoiler. Maybe those guys are running a little faster than street stocks, but it showed me that aerodynamics play a huge part!
