What width 9" should I get for a metric car ??
Normaly I get whatever one is availible, but I'd like to make sure I'm getting to right one.

I'd say a 58" to a 60" would be about right.

How should I measure that, from the outside of the housing or the outside of the axles ???

I think I'm a bit wide, cuz the 9" that I have measures 63" from the outside of the flanges.

We've been narrowing our own the last couple years, with real good luck. Its fairly simple to do. Send me a pm if you're interested.

You want to get the 60 inch centered for the metric chassis.

I went with a 62 and had the pinion offset to the right so that both axles are the same length. less spare parts that way.
