Just wondering how ya'll remove the bushings out of your control arms? I've been using my hydraulic press but I have a heck of a time doing it without bending the a arm. Just wondering if there are any easier ways of doing it. Thanks in advance.

just heat the steel sleeve with a torch till the rubber drops out, it stinks but is fast and easy...

That seems simple enough. I guess it's the simple ideas you don't think about, or at least in my case it is. Thanks.

Might want to save the outer steel sleeve, a lot of poly bushings don't come with outer sleeves and use the old stock ones. loojack

when you heat it the rubber falls out and leaves the steel sleeve in ready to use, i usually put the new ones in while its still a little hot and they drop in with out any pressure or pressing. not to hot though, or theyll melt....

I made a spacer out of exhuast pipe, in
the shape of a C. I put it in the control arm to keep it from bending and then use
the pess. Works good for unstalling the
new ons also.

I used the heating method the other day and it worked well, but I got it a little too hot. Man that burns when the melted rubber gets on your skin, lol. Thanks for all the input so far.

justin glad you likes it..

yeah that burns i got it on my leg in shorts once.

i have a vise on a stand i put outside to do it.

have fun, if you put the new ones in the freezer they seem to go in easier also if your worried about melting them..
