You can also check out Poske's. They carry the lightened Saginaw with no first gear and a lightened second and reverse. They claim to reduce rotating weight by 13 lbs. Pretty good!

Okay, I didn't know this was a HOT item..LOL I will sell in the order people responded here.....

My toll free number for home is 1-877-267-2408 The people that have already replied have first refusal.

It is a speedway motors tranny, cost new is $489.95.......mine with 24 nights is $200 you pay shipping.

Dean-7585 has first refusal, and is also the closest person to me.....where is twin lakes MI???? Is that in the UP ?? I'm in Norther MN.

If dean does NOT want this tranny Justin gets next shot, then pdub25......ect. I MAY have another tranny.......I will need to look and see.........so call Saturday morning.....around 830-930 am CENTRAL time.

I didn't want this to turn into a sales ad on this page. I will now answer the original question.

To lighten up a Saginaw completely remove first gear, from both the main shaft and counter shaft. you can cut 2nd and reverse gears in half......just make sure you the the same amount off each side of the gear. You can spend a ton of time cutting.
