what seems to be the best rear suspension on a real dry slick track mono, stack leaf, or are the bar cars that much better? don;t see any of the usmts guys or hardly any one on leafs any more. is this just the trend or is because most people don,t fully understand the leaf suspension?

Due to advances in understanding the link type suspensions people understand them better and you will get more out of a link suspension than you will every get out of leafs. Leafs with the exception of very few people just arent that fast anymore compared to a 3 link or swing arm car. Most cars here in Iowa are a 3 link or a swing arm car and few builders build leafs anymore and if they do it costs more than a link car.

A properly setup 3 link or a swing arm type rear susension is what i have found to be the best on dry track conditions.

I run the springs staggered on a 3 link , lr in front and the rr in rear with a 18" j bar.

I agree not a lot of guys are running leafs, but they did win 3 USMTS Features this year. It was very slick on these nights also.

Yes you can do more with a coil car, but sometimes that is a negative. KISS

i run on a 3 link. it works really well for dryslick but not good on tacky. i like the fourbar left and swingarm right. that will be my next car.
