I run an alternator mounted on the passenger side of the motor with stock brackets. I was thinking about buying a kse tandem pump. The pumps i've seen are all mounted on the passenger side. Is there a way to mount an alternator on the drivers side of the motor (homemade brackets). Any other suggestions? Thanks.

You can get a driver side alternator bracket off of most 69-72 chevy trucks.

Check with Speedway they sell a couple different brackets that mount the altenator down low on the left side. I had the same problem and bought one of them and problem solved. Make sure you have room on your chassis. Also make sure your situation will be ok.

Buy a decent battery and charge it the day after the race, and get rid of the heavy alternator,I know I have read what all of the magazines say but unless you are running 50 or 100 lap races it is not needed.
